Participant Certificate in National level Chess Competition is helpful in joining IIIT?


My son is studying is 9th class in CBSE School, he is one of the player of CHESS and he was participated in NATIONAL SCHOOL GAMES FEDERATION OF INDIA in 2015 -16. HE GOT PARTICIPANT CERTIFICATE in national wide Chess competition. Is it helpful for join in IIIT in 2018-19?
