The eligibility criteria to pursue Bachelor of Education program through Indira Gandhi National Open University is as follows:

• You must possess bachelors degree awarded by a recognized university.
• Must hold a minimum of two years of teaching experience in recognized schools.
• Must be presently working as a Teacher in a recognized school.

Hello i had given examination of MA History from ignou in june 2012. I has got 52% marks in theory. But if i calculate my assignment marks with them it is above 60% i wanted to know is that which percentage will be counted when i will apply for jobs and is i became eligible for ugc net as %tage reqird thre is 55% Does i fulfill that category i.e will ugc take into accont my theory %tage or overall %tage pls help it will be really grateful of you pls help

-- B. Ed generally requires for getting the job in teaching line.

-- For admission in IGNOU for B. Ed course, following criteria is required:
# Candidate must have any graduation degree.
# Candidate must have two years teaching practice in any government or private school/college.
# Candidate must be serving as a teacher in a government or non-government school.

-- There is no much emphasis given on percentage marks obtained in the graduation level.

IGNOU offers part time B.ed Course.The total duration of this course will be 02 years.If you get failed in any semester then you will have to clear all your back paper within 04 years.

Eligibility criteria for taking admission in B.Ed course :

~Candidates should have a degree o0f Graduation/Post Graduation from any recognized university.
~Candidates minimum marks in Graduation/Post Graduation should be 50%.
~Candidates should have a full time 2 year's teaching experience as a Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teachers in a Primary/Higher/Senior Secondary School.

Selection Process :

-->>Written test.
-->>Interview.

Written test will be conducted for all candidates who are interested to take admission in B.Ed Course.After getting pass in the written test candidates will be called for Personal Interview and Document Verification.

Written test will be objective type and total duration for the written test will be of 02 hours.Total number of questions will be 100 and Maximum marks for each questions will be 01.

Written test will include questions from five sections and these will be from :-
1)General English Comprehension.
2)Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
3)Educational and General Awareness.
4)Teaching and Learning methods.
