No, You are Not Eligible for IAS Examination, Because to become a IAS Officer, You need a graduate degree from a recognized University. So, If you are Interested to become a IAS Officer, Then Please Complete your Graduate degree course and then you are eligible to apply for IAS Examination.

So, After Diploma, You are Not eligible for IAS Examination.

The UPSC Conducts the IAS Examination and to become IAS Officer you need to appear for Civil Services examination, The examination was held 2 times in a year and the examination was held 2 times. Firstly You have to appear for Preliminary examination and then you are eligible for Main examination.

To apply for this examination, Your age should between 21 to 30 years.

The Preliminary examination Pattern was changed and From Civil Service Examination 2011, Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type. The duration of both the papers was same and Marks of both the papers was same. After clear Preliminary examination, You are eligible for Main examination. If you have clear the Main examination, then you are eligible for Final Interview and if you have passed the interview round, then you are become a IAS Officer.

But, After diploma, you are Not eligible to apply for Civil services examination, So please complete your Bachelor degree examination and then apply for Civil services examination. For complete information please visit the UPSC Official website -

As a diploma holder, you are not allowed to attend for the IAS examination. Candidates who have finished graduation are permitted to appear for IAS Examination. UPSC conducts Civil Service Examination for recruiting candidates in Indian Administrative Service. The IAS is regarded to be one of the highest positions in the Civil Service Sector. Two written tests are included in this examination. One is preliminary exam and the other is final exam. A personal interview will be conducted by the board for those students who have successfully passed in the written exams.

Dear Friend,

After diploma it will not be possible to give IAS exam. Minimum qualification to appear for IAS is graduation/equivalent.

This exam is conducted by UPSC. on clearing exam you can proceed further for your interview as intimated to you.

All the best to you.

dear friend
you will first have to do b.tech because for giving ias exam, the student must have done graduation in any field with at least 60% marks. the age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years which can increase to 35 years for sc/st students.
if you are having these qualifications, then only you can give the exam.
there will be three rounds in the exam. firstly, you will have to give the preliminary exam. this exam will be of objective questions.
after qualifying in that exam, you will have to give the main exam, which will be in written form.
after passing both the exams, you will be called for the personal interview.
after passing that interview, you will become an ias officer.
the notification regarding the exam comes in the employment news.
for more details regarding the exam, you can visit
