Respected Sir, I am studying in class 10th and after completing it I want to pursue BCA course but I want to know can I pursue BCA without completing class 12th? Is it possible to pursue BCA course after completing class 10th? How can I get admission in BCA course? Please answer as soon as possible.

BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application and same is a bachelor degree course of three years ( six semesters ) with good career scope in software world.

Also the minimum educational requirement for pursuing the same course is a higher secondary school degree in any discipline from a recognized board. Further many institutes might ask for Mathematics as main subject in your higher secondary school degree.

So being a Class 10th passed candidate you are not eligible for pursuing regular BCA degree course from a recognized university without pursuing higher secondary school degree.

The eligibility to get admission in course is candidate must have passed higher secondary from a recognised board with physics and chemistry as main paper. Some of institutes have limitation of having mathematics as main paper in 10+2 to get admission.

The admission in course is offered on basis of entrance examination or on merit basis.

As per the eligibility criteria the minimum qualification required to pursue Bachelor of Computer Application degree course is 12th with non medical stream from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of SC and ST categories.
So first you have to complete your 12th standard in order to pursue BCA.

Actually BCA is a graduate course and you are not eligible to pursue it after completing your matriculation because minimum qualification required to pursue BCA is 12th standard from non medical stream because mathematics is compulsory in order to pursue this course.

If you are interested to pursue computer course after 10th then you must have matriculation and you can pursue diploma course in Computer Science not Bachelor of Computer Application.

You can attend BCA after 12th class . B C A and B com are undergraduate courses in the areas of Specialisation. B.Com deals with Business Management, Finance, Accountancy , Tax and so on

BCA on the other hand is a course related to computers and its applications. You can make a selection according to your interest in the subject.

Procedure to apply for BCA course:-

The admission procedure to bachelors in computer application course is similar to the other under graduate programs.

The age limit is 22 to 25 years.

The application forms are normally available during the period 12th standard results are declared.
