UPSC Conducts the Civil Services Examination Every Year. The Examination are divided into 2 stages, Firstly Preliminary Examination and Secondly Main Examination.

If You Will be able to crack the Preliminary Examination, Then You are Eligible for Main Examination. You have to apply for Both these examination at the time of fill the application form of Preliminary Examination.

When the Preliminary Application Dates was announced, then you have to apply for Both these examination And if you clear the Preliminary exam, then you are Qualify for Main Examination And after Main examination, You have to appear the Interview. So, You have to clear both the Examination.

The Notification of UPSC Civil services examination was published in the employment newspaper in the month of February every year, You can apply for civil services examination Online By visit the Official website.

And to apply for This examination Your age should Between 21 to 30 Years, If you are belong to general category Candidates. And you will get only 4 Attempts to crack the Civil services examination. Procedure to apply civil services main examination.

There are no any direct procedure to apply for the main examination.

The civil services examination is conducted by UPSC in every year. This

examination is conducted in two stage preliminary exam and main exam.

After successful selection in the preliminary examination

you will be called for the main examination. So there is no

any direct way to appear in the main examination.

To appear in the Civil Services examination you need the following eligibility criteria :

Educational Qualification = Graduation in any stream.

Age Limit = 21 to 30 years.

The age relaxation is also applicable for the reservation category student.

Civil Services Mains can only be given after clearing the Prelims round.

The prelims round these days is called CSAT and it consists of questions of general aptitude and high level reasoning.

Those who will clear will be called for mains round in which you need to choose 2 subjects.

For the main examination, the study should be done in more detail. In addition to the above readings, the following are suggested as well:

History: India's Struggle for Independence, IGNOU publications on Modern India.
Indian Culture: Art and culture portions of history books, India Yearbook (culture chapter), Encyclopaedia on Indian Culture, Gazetteer of India, books on culture published by Publications Division and National Book Trust.
Current Affairs: A national newspaper, The Competition Master, current affairs programmes on Doordarshan, newsmagazines.
Statistics: Class XI NCERT book on Statistics.
Indian Polity: Introduction to the Constitution, Parliament.
Indian Geography: NCERT books on Indian Geography.
Indian Economy: NCERT and other books on Indian Economy, financial newspapers, The Competition Master carries regular analysis of the Indian Economy.
Science: A science magazine, supplements in newspapers.
