Being a graduate, you may appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC, to join Indian Army. The minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years. Apart from CDS, if you ar an engineering graduate, you may join the technical branch of Indian army as an commissioned officer. The eligible age to join as commissioned officer is between 20 years - 27 years.

yes after 3rd year you can join indian army .There are many exams held .

once you finished your graduation from recognized college you have following option to
to go to indian army .

CDS : Combined Defense Services

eligibility :

Educational Qualifications:
For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering

For IMA: candidates between 19-24

As an Indian Army Engineer, you could be a part of any of the three elite corps of Engineers,

• Bombay Spares
• Madras Engineers
• Bengal Engineers.

Two Options available

a) Permanent Commission
b) Short Service Commission

In short service Commission you can serve for 5 years and have an option to quit the army.
you can apply following ways
1.)Technical Entry Graduates IMA exam mostly held in January and July and age should be 20 to 27 Years and mode of selection is Direct SSB..
2.)SS Commission not fixed and after completion of b.tech chech with related dates in employement news.

There are many ways.....but they would mean recrutiment in the technical dpt of the armed forces.
you can directly apply for them...they do post ads..they will take care of your engineerng.
you would leave with a degree in mechnical/electircal engineering after 15 years.
You can fill the form of UPSC as CDS.

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

All the three papers are of objective type containing the

General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics
total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

for OTA
All the two papers are of objective type containing the

total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks.

ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

iii)Medical test.
After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

For non-technical entry -

1.You have to go for the CDS exam .
2.To apply for the exam you have to be in between 19 to 24 years .
3.The notification appears in the month of August / March .
4.The exam is conducted in February .

For technical entry -

1.This entry only for the Engineering students .
2.The notification appears in the month of October/November in National newspaper .
3.You have to appear for SSB interview Physical,Physiological and Medical test sessions .
4.18 months after the joining the Military academy you will join Indian Army as an Officer .

You can apply for the Indian Army after the completion of graduation through Combined defence service examination. This examination is conducted by the UPSC.

For the combined defence service examination candidate should be graduate in any discipline. Candidate appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the CDS examination.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-23 Years

Air Force Academy 19-23 Years

Naval Academy 19-22 Years

Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years

The candidates who have 10th standard qualification can join Indian Army. The selection process is based on the exam conducted by UPSC.
This is for the post of Soldiers and Technical officers. For the post of officer the candidates requires training from any reputed Army Institute. Those who have 10+2 can apply for the NDA and for joining IMA the candidate should be a graduate.

The NDA and CDS exam are carried out by UPSC twice in a year. The procedure includes a written test, physical test and medical test. A group test and personal interview will be there also at final stage. Separate exams are conducted for both the graduates and 10+2 candidates.
The training will be also given separately. For the post of technical assistant the candidates should be between 16 to 32 years and to join as a soldier the age limit is 16 to 30 years.

How To Join Indian Army After Graduation

You can appear for the CDS (Combined Defense Service) Exams after completing your graduation..

The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing for the CDS exam is :-

1) You should be a graduate in any stream

2) You should be within the age limit of 19-23 years to appear join the IMA(Indian Military Academy)

If you are Interested to Join Indian Army Then There are lots of Examination are there which you have to passed to get enter into Indian army.

You can Join Army with the help of these entrance examinations -

-> Through NDA
-> Graduates (Direct Entry) Through CDSE Examination

Through NDA -

After Passing 12Th Examination you are eligible for NDA Examination, And Only unmarried male candidates with age between 16.5 years to 19 years are eligible for NDA examination. The UPSC Conducts the NDA Examination, twice a year in all major cities. The Notification was published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Official website, First in October and then April.

Graduates (Direct Entry) Through CDSE Examination -
And If you are Graduate Candidates then you are direct eligible for Combined Defense Services Examination, This examination also conducted by UPSC 2 Times in a year, the Notification also published in the employment newspaper, You have to crack the written examination and then After you have to appear for the interview conducted by Service Selection Board, successful candidates can join Indian Military Academy. But for this examination your age should between 19 to 24 Years.

UES (University Entry Scheme) -

You can also join the Indian army Univeristy Entry Scheme into technical branches or services of the army with the help of UES But for this your age should between 20 to 27 years.
