Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
Dear friend,
After doing B.Sc general degree course, you can't join Phd directly. You have to first pass the Master's course in any particular subject. Then you can go for further study doing Phd on that particular subject area. You must have good percentile record in M.Sc ,only then you can apply for the Phd program. All the best... |

Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
HI!
For doing PHd. in any discipline one must hold a post graduate in the respective discipline. Since you have pursued BSc. general degree with maths ,Physics and Statistics subjects. You can pursue MSc. in any 1 of these subjects or other related disciplines. Only after completing MSc. you are eligible to apply in different colleges conducting PHd. courses. |

Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
Hai,
For doing Ph.D, the required qualification is completing Post Graduation in the stream you wish to pursue. If you complete PG successfully, then you are eligible for applying Ph.D. some Universities/Colleges conduct Entrance exam but some dont If you wish to do Ph.D from reputed University, without cracking Entrance, then one alternative is to do M.Phil( Master of Philosophy) - 2 years for which No entrance is required, but you have to submit a Thesis of your choice. Based on Viva, and your thesis, you will be awarded M.Phil. Then you are free to join Ph.D. Regards |

Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
For pursuing PhD you need to to have graduation +post graduation with 55% marks. The subject for which you have done your PG will be your subject during PhD.
Some universities conduct separate exams for it as BHU does like CRATE |

Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
A PHD program may last for about 5years. The cost will be based on the institution you choose.A masters degree , excellent academic record, strong command over English, high marks in research projects during graduation or post graduation are some of the criteria for doing PhD.

Re: Qualifications for PHD Degree
When you are about to complete your post graduation its better for you that you should have some extra qualification like knowledge of computers or Tally which will add up to your qualification and make you more in demand when applying for job.
YOU can also carryout any partime courses from cooreespondance through universities like IGNOU. You can also do CA or CS according to your choice |
