This exam like all other banks SBI is also conducting it and it is conducted for candidate to be recruited for the post of Probationary Officer.

Before applying for the exam you need to check whether you are satisfying the needed qualification needed for writing these exams in order to join in for the post.

And they are:

~ You need to be a citizen of India

~ The age limit needed for applying for this exam 21-30 years of age.

SBI PO Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• You should be a bachelor's degree holder from a recognized university with not less than 65 percent of marks at graduation level. This marks needs to be secured by the general category candidates only.
  
• For the reserved category candidates there is percentage relaxation. They need to secure 60% of marks in aggregate.

• The marks obtained in the group discussion and interview session too will be of vital importance as its marks is going to be added in your total and then the final decision will be taken. The minimum qualifying marks for the general category candidates is 40%. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates it is 35% of marks.

Eligibility for SBI PO Exam:-


1.A candidate must be graduate from recognized university or post graduate from a recognized university.
2.Age limit minimum 21 years & maximum 30 years
3.Age relaxation is same for PO as clerk
4.Computer knowledge & English language should know.

Exam pattern of SBI PO exam:-

1.There will be 5 sections namely:-REASONING,APTITUDE,ENGLISH,GENERAL AWARENESS & COMPUTER/MARKETING AWARENESS.
2.In every sections you will get 40 questions of 40 marks means 200 questions of 200 marks.
3.Duration of exam will be 120 minutes.
4.This paper will be objective.
5.You will also get descriptive paper of 50 marks.Total, questions will be 5 & duration of exam 60 minutes.
6.To qualify for interview one needs to score 50% in each of the sections as well as also in descriptive paper.
7.There will be negative marking also,for every wrong answer 0.25marks will be deducted.
8.If a candidate score 50% or above even after deducting negative marking will call for interview.

You can apply for SBI po exam.You are eligible for that.
But right there is no news for SBI po exam but soon there will be may be June 2012.

IBPS conducts this exams on behalf of 20 Nationalized Banks

BANK PO EXAMS- Min Eligibilty is Graduation Pass with Minimum 60% marks
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

The same is the Eligibilty for both IBPS and SBI PO exams.

Since your marks is more than 60% in Graduation, you can apply for both the PO exams
