Candidates need to get 50% marks in order to apply for LLB. 45% is specified for reserved category candidates to join LLB. Also, candidates should pass CLAT to join LLB. This exam will include questions from legal aptitude, reasoning, English skills etc. It is necessary to pass this exam with a good score to apply for LLB in good law colleges.

I assume you are talking about 3 years LLB course which can be taken only after completing graduation. Although most colleges these days have shifted to integrated LLB course, there are few colleges that continue to offer this course.

The LLB is a 3 years course which is taken after graduation while integrated LLB course is taken after completing 12th and the duration of this course is 5 years. The integrated course includes course of a graduation degree like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, which depends on the subjects student has taken in 12th.

You can apply for the LLB course if meet the criteria mentioned below:

Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any discipline.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks.

4. The age limit for LLB is 30 years.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

6. Age limit for OBC is same as General candidates.

If you meet the above criteria then apply for the LLB 3 years course. But please do not apply through correspondence because Bar Council of India does not recognize any such degree. It will only recognize LLB degree through regular mode.

LL.B. - Bachelor of Law can be pursed in two ways depending upon candidate's academic qualification.

5 years Integrated Law:-

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having completed 12th with 50% marks in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 20 years.

3 years LL.B. Degree:-

Some reputed Institutions conduct entrance exam like CLAT etc. for admission to LL.B. course others conduct admission basing on the mark secured in academic level.

Dear Friend,

LLB Stands for Bachelor Of law.

You can pursue LLB Course through two ways :

a) If you have passed 12th from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks , and your age lies in the bracket of 16-20 years , then you can go for 5 years Integrated Law Course.

b) If you have completed graduation with a minimum of 45% marks from any recognized college/university under an age of 30 years , then you can go for the 3 years LLB Course.

So , it totally depends on your educational qualification.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
