through UPSC exam, you can join in Indian Navy.

INDIAN NAVY

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 19-1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1984 to 01 July 1989 both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : Science Graduate with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics OR Post Graduate in Science with minimum 55% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics.
(Those who have not complete thier Degree, need not apply).

Physical Standards :
Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male - 157 cms, Female - 152 cms with correlated weight.
Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

If your have completed 12th standard with PCM stream,then you can apply for NDA exam,to join in Indian Navy.

As your are 18 years old,you are eligible for this year NDA exam.

Last date of submitting application form of NDA exam is 9th May 2011.
Exam will be held on 21st Aug 2011.

The qualifications for the Indian Navy are as follows:-

-> Age limitation --> 19.5 - 25 years.

-> Educational qualification --> Graduate or post graduate with Physics , mathematics , electronics with a minimum of 55% marks.

-> Eyesight should be 6/6 of both the eyes.

-> Minimum should be 157 cm for male and 152 cm for the females.

this require minimum 12th std with science stream with PCM subject.
after that you have to join UPSC.unmarried male candidate are eligible for NDA
exam.

dear friend You didn't tell your academic qualification.So I have to give the details for you.
At first you have to sit for NDA which is conducted by UPSC twice in every year.Here is the details about NDA examination :

Educational Qualification :You must pass 12th standard in any discipline

Age limit:16.5 to 19 years of age.

Eyesight :Should be 6/6.

Height :Minimum165 cm.

Nationality :Indian.

Requirements for joining Indian Navy. you have to apply for NDA(national defence academy) exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission)

* Candidates should be the citizen of India
* Candidates should have age limit within 16.5 to 19 years
* Candidates should complete 12th from a recognized institute
* You should complete maths,physics and chemistry at 12th
* Only unmarried male candidates can apply for exam
* Candidates should be physically fit

My friend, sorry to say you that you are not eligible for NAVY..

Because you are in B.com first year now..

To apply for NAVY wing , one must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

So, you are not eligible for NAVY..

But you can apply for Army wing through CDS exam.

Now, you decide what you want to do.

How To Join Indian Navy

Since you are a B.Com 1st year so you opt to go for either of the two options..

You can either opt to take a shot at the NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam which is conducted twice every year by the UPSC in the months of April and August..

Only those candidates are eligible to appear for the NDA exam who fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria :-

1) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st July of the year in which you are appearing for the exam..

2) You should be a 12th pass out or 12th appearing from a recognized board(with Science stream if you want to join Air Force or Navy)

I think this might be your last attempt for the NDA..

the next NDA exam is going to be conducted on 15th april,2012 and the forms for the exam shall be available from 31st December,2011 and the last date for submitting the forms is 30th January,2012..


The next option you have is to go for the CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam for which you shall be eligible after the completion of your graduation..

for admission to various academies..a candidate must be within the respective age limits :-

For Naval Academy : 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy : 19-23 years
For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 years
For Officer's Training Academy : 19-25 years

You should be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..
