Educational Eligibility Criteria for IAS :

You can choose any stream based on the subject from the above mentioned list of eligibility criteria. For complete details go to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Re: Stream for graduation to become an IAS officer?
Hello
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative civil service of the executive branch of the Government of the Republic of India You can go for any stream to become an IAS officer. There is no such restriction. But it would be better,if you go for CIVIL,ELECTRICAL or MECHANICAL because in IAS you need to select two optional subjects in main examination. So,if you go for above mentioned three streams then one optional subject you can select of your stream only. So,it will reduce your efforts. For any other doubts, you can contact www.upsc.gov.in I am attaching a notification containing all the information regarding IAS exam this year and a list of subjects which you can opt.Just find the attachment below. All the best. |
