Respected Sir, I am studying in class 10th and after completing it I want to become an IAS Officer in the future. I want to know which stream should I choose in class 11th to become an IAS Officer? Which exam do I have to write? Please answer as soon as possible.

After completion of 10th standard, you can take arts stream to become an IAS exam.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible for IAS exam.

Your age should be in between 21 to 32 years.

To become an IAS you can take any subject in 12th and graduation subject doesn't matter for IAS .
Basically here are some criteria for IAS

1).Candidate should be Indian.
2).He/she should have passed graduation in any stream from any recognized university

3). Age should be in between 21 to 32 years.

4). Relaxation for reserved categories are available.

If you meet the above criteria so you are eligible.

IAS stands for Indian administrative service which is conducted by UPSC.

Candidates who have passed graduation in any stream from any recognized university are eligible for this post.

You can choose Arts in your 11th for IAS preparation.

To appear in the IAS exams you have to apply for the UPSC civil services exams.
This exams is conducted for selection of posts like IAS, IPS, IFS etc

This exam is conducted in three stages:
Prelims
Mains
Interviews


Educational Qualifications to appear in this exams:Graduation pass in any stream from an recognised University

Age Limit:Minimum 21 years for all candidates
Maximum age is 32 years for General category candidates
3 years age relation for OBC candidates
5 years for SC/ST candidates

You can choose any subject in your class 11th as per your interest.
