You can choose any stream which you have interested . Because there is no specific Stream to apply for IAS Examination . Any stream candidate may eligible to apply for this IAS Examination .

Say for Example :- The candidate who complete the degrees like, BCA / B.com / BA / B.sc / BBA etc..are eligible to apply for IAS Examination . The only criteria is that the candidate should qualified in Bachelor degree .

IAS stands for Indian Administrative officer this Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission of India .

If your interested to apply for this Examination you should complete Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination ,

Note :- There is Minimum percentage of marks requires for IAS Examination . Pass marks is enough to apply for this Examination .

Your age should be 21 years to 30 years and relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates and obc candidates .

-For SC/ST candidates :- 5 years
-For OBC candidates :- 3 years
-For Physically Challenged Candidates :- 10 years

Number Attempts :- General candidates for 4 time , SC/ST candidates for 7 times and there is no limit for sc/st candidates till the age of 35 years .

Being an 11th student you have long period to apply for this IAS Examination , So, I suggest you to concentrate on your studies and score good percentage of marks in 12th standard .

All The Best !!!!

Hi,
Actually if you realy want to join IAS or any other civil services
There is no bounding to choose any particular stream.
But in my opinion humanities is the best option.
As through humanities you would have the knowledge of all the required subjects.
