Re: Which subjects are compulsory for NDA?
HSC passed candidates in any stream can join to NDA. Those having studied Physics and Mathematics as subjects can join to army, navy or air force. Others have the option to join army only. Unmarried male candidates between the age of 16 ½ and 19 years can apply. NDA entrance test is conducted by UPSC two times a year.

To apply for NDA, a candidate should be 12th passed or 12th appeared to apply for NDA. NDA consists of different wings which are Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air force and Indian Naval force. To apply for Indian army, a candidate should be 12th passed or 12th appeared in any stream or any subjects. To apply for Indian navy, Indian Air force or Indian Naval force, a candidate should have PCM as their subjects in Science Subjects. Thus, with biology a candidate is only eligible to apply for Indian Army. |
