Re: Which subjects to take up in 12th become an IAS officer?
Sir,
You can become IAS officer by any stream(sceience, commerce and arts). but today trend is that more engineering students are selected in IAS...as they are hardworking and knowledgeable. so i suggest you take Science stream through (PCM) which help you to do graduation through engineering feild. but atlast i tell you just go through to that stream where you give your best. so,good luck |

Re: Which subjects to take up in 12th become an IAS officer?
u know at this time, school give which stream to u that depend on ur marks not by ur choice. so, get any stream which is made for u. don't take tension about the eligibilty and subjects for the IAS.
listen, u must have graduate for this exam. and there is option to choose any subject for the examination except computers. and genral knolwedge is compulsary. so, if u want to become an ias. do 1. have high communication skill and good health. 2. good in english and genral knowlege like political. 3. specialist in any one subject like bio, phy, maths, bussiness study, eco etc. |

Dear,
There is no such subject criteria to choose for the IAS exam. The only qualifications required for the IAS exam are as follows:- --> The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. --> Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST. --> You need to first clear the CSAT before applying for the mains. --> More details :- www.upsc.gov.in. Thanks. |

Re: Which subjects to take up in 12th become an IAS officer?
There are no special subjects to study for being an ias officer
You should have a minimum knowledge of all subjects For being an ias officer you should select a stream which you like Then qualify in the higher secondary examination Then take degree from the recognised university Then you can write the civil service examination |
