NET - National Eligibility Test conducted by University Grant Commission(UGC) for selection of Lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship(JRF).

Yes, there is age limit to write NET but for those applying for JRF which is restricted to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

But for those applying for Lectureship there is no such age restriction which means the candidate of any age can write NET.

Apart from this, the eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Pos Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University with 55% marks(50% marks for SC/ST candidate), can apply for NET.
