Hi,

You need to have a graduation to be eligible to sit in the civil services exam for admission to IPS.

IPS comes under UPSC, which the minimum qualification of graduation in any discipline. and one should be physically fit.

To become IPS officer you have to appear for UPSC exam.Age limt being 21 to 30 years.Upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category students.One has to be a graduate or should be a final year graduate student.You can easily get the forms from the Head Post office in your locality.

IPS is a government job whose exam is conducted every year by UPSC
(Union Public Service Commission ).

Yes it is must that you have completed any Graduate degree.

In India there is No exam which doesn't have Educational qualification either it may be 12 pass or may be Graduation.

IPS exam comes under the UPSE civil services Exam, Graduation is the minimum Degree qualification to write Civil services Exam.

IPS exams are conducted by UPSC.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION CRITERIA IN DETAILS:
Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely :

• Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science,
• Botany,
• Chemistry,
• Geology,
• Mathematics,
• Physics,
• Statistics and Zoology
• or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or
• in Engineering or
