There is no disadvantage in doing integrated Ph.D. Most of the institutes now offer such courses. The main benefit of this course is candidates get the opportunity to continue their education. They can seek guidance of same faculty up to Ph.D. Colleges usually conduct entrance exam for the admission to Ph.D programme. Those who are pursuing integrated Ph.D get direct admission to Ph.D programme.
