kindly let me know the age limit for slet...please mention to me the age limit of the exam

State Eligibility Test (SET)


Eligibility:- Candidates who have obtained Master's Degree in any of these
subjects with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject are eligible for SLET.

Age:- There is no upper age limit for appearing in the SLET(Relaxation for sc/st/obc).

There is no age limit to apply for the State Level Eligibility Test or National Eligibility Test for lectureship. An individual at any age may apply for these tests provided she/he has completed their masters degree program with 55% marks.

The age limit is applicable only for Junior Research Fellowship.
The maximum age limit to apply for JRF is 28 years.

Age limit:- No upper age limit but,
Candidate should possess a minimum of 50 percent in their B.Ed with completed PG. It is an objective type test.

Duration :- 150 minutes.

If you don't have an aggregate of 55% marks in your masters, then you're not eligible for SET.
And for the age, there is no limitation. You can give it any number of times.

The age limit depends on your purpose of appearing for the State Eligibility Test for Lectureship. If you are appearing for the Junior Research Fellowship then 28 years is the maximum age limit to apply. However if you are appearing for the college lectureship then there is no upper age limit.

This is same for the National Eligibility Test. The difference between two exams is that NET is conducted for central government colleges by SLET is conducted by all the states for their respective colleges.

Even though SET/NET are two different exams, the criteria to appear in it is the same. Whether its SLET or National Eligibility Test, the criteria is set by the University Grants Commission. Please check the entire criteria below.


Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. Post graduation degree in any stream.

3. At least 55 percent marks in master degree.

4. The requirement for SC/ST is 50 percent.

5. Final year students are also eligible to appear for SLET.

6. But they will have to submit their master degree within 2 years of passing SLET.

7. Your NET subject should be relevant to master degree course.

8. You have unlimited number of attempts.


Age Limit

1. The maximum age limit is 28 years if applying for Junior Research Fellowship.

2. There is upto 3 years relaxation for OBC.

3. SC/ST get 5 years relaxation.

4. There is no upper age limit if candidate is applying for College Lectureship.

The age of the candidate should not be above 28 years.

Candidates above 28 years are not allowed to apply for the examination.

The aggregate percentage required to apply for the examination is 55% throughout the academics.
