What does "Backlog cleared in 1 attempt" mean?

What is the meanning of "BACKLOGS CLEARED IN > 1 ATTEMPT" ?
I have 4 backlogs but cleared in one attempt itself(next semester).
i have 4 years exp now. One MNC asked this question, I told "all i cleared in one attempt itself " is my understanding is correct? and my answer is correct ? if it is wrong what should tell to them?

Backlog cleared in one attempt means you should clear all your backlogs in the first attempt itself. Backlog cleared in more than one attempt means you must have attempted many times for clearing your paper. In your context, your answer is correct as you have cleared all the backlogs at your first attempt. This is one of the common questions asked in the interview. After you gain over 5-7 years experience it will not be an issue if you show expertise in the field.

i got one backlog in 7th sem but i cleared it in first attempt in the final year itself. Will it still be called a backlog? May i apply for the jobs where candidates having no backlogs are required?
