Not only for you, many of the candidates are having this doubt.

They complete their Engineering course and have interest to join Civil Services but they are not sure whether they can apply for it or not.

You don't need to worry about this. Because all the Engineering candidates irrespective of their stream are eligible to apply for civil services.

Not only Engineering candidates, all the candidates who have completed their Graduation with any of the stream are eligible to apply for civil services.

The good thing is that they don't need to secure any minimum percentage of marks in Graduation to apply for civil services.

Have a glance over the required age criteria.

For General category : 21-30 years
For OBC category : 21-33 years
For SC or ST category : 21-35 years

The selection procedure would involve
CSAT Exam
Main Exam
Interview

Have good preparation for the above selection procedure and make your entry into civil services.

Wish you all the best.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
