Staff Selection Commission conducts a common entrance examination known as Combined Graduate Level Examination for recruitment of Income Tax Officer, Custom Officer, CBI Officer etc.
A graduate in any discipline may apply for the exam, irrespective of percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
A far as the age limit is concerned, one needs to be within 18-27 years.

The upcoming Combined Graduate Level Examination is going to be held on the following dates:

01.07.2012
08.07.2012

The last date to apply for the examination has expired in the month of April and therefore, you will have to wait for the next notification which will be published on the official website of Staff Selection Commission as well as in India's leading Newspapers.

sir i have completed my 10th and then i switched over for diploma. At present i am doing distance course for my b tech. in future i want to become income tax officer can i apply for it after my b tech.

Income tax officer is one of the high paying and respected job in India. The exam for this job is conducted through SSC CGL which is a graduation level exam conducted every year by SSC.

Eligibility is as follows -

1. Minimum age 21 years
2. Graduation in any discipline
3. Final year student can also apply
4. Max age is 28
5. Nationality must be Indian.
