IAS stands for Indian administrative service and to become IAS officer you have to complete your graduation degree course and then apply fo UPSC civil services examination.UPSC conduct the civil services examination every year and the examination is conducted in two stages.they are,
Firstly, you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and then you are eligible to appear for Main examination. Preliminary examination is Objective test and there are 2 papers in this examination and all are conducted in same day and all the examination will be of same marks. In Main examination there are 9 papers and you have to choose the subjects in this examination on the basis of Graduation, the papers in Main examination are as follows : >> 1 Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks) >> 1 English Qualifying Paper (300 marks) >> 1 General Essay type paper (200 marks) >> 2 General Studies papers (300 marks each) >> 4 Optional subjects papers (300 marks each) If you cracked the Main examination, then you are eligible to appear for Final Interview and then you will become IAS Officer. Eligiblity Criteria : To apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination Your age should between 21 to 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. There is no percentage is required to apply for this examination, after completing graduation you are eligible to apply for civil services examination. General candidates in this examination will gets 4 attempts OBC Candidates will gets 7 chance SC/ST Candidates : No Limits. (ii) Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification. (iii) No. of permissible attempts : Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.) |

Indian Administration Service exam is held once in year is conducted by UPSC
Minimum Eligibility for IAS exam 1.Graduated from recognized university in any discipline. 2.final year student can also apply. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates 21to 33 year for OBC category candidates 21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates Number of attempts: 4 attempts for General category candidates. 7 attempts for Obc category candidates 14 attempts for SC/ST category candidates. There are 3 stages in IAS that should be cleared by the candidate. STAGE I ---- Preliminary exam (OBJECTIVE TYPE) STAGE II----- Main exam (DESCRIPTIVE TYPE) STAGE III---- Personal interview Clearing one will get you to another level exam. IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer you have to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:- -The candidate must be an Indian Citizen -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. The selection is through three phases:- -CSAT- CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST-PRELIMINARY EXAM -CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM -PERSONAL INTERVIEW The general candidate is restricted to Four attempts to Civil Service Exam OBC candidate is restricted to Seven attempts while there is no restriction to attempt Civil Service Exam in case of SC/ST candidate. Indian administrative service [IAS] You want to serve the nation which is really appreciable.In order to become a IAS officer, you must have to clear the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS, which is conducted by the UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION] every year. This civil service examination has three stages to be clear , in the way of a IAS aspirent. 1. CSAT[CIVIL SERVICE ATTITUDE TEST] 2. MAINS 3. INTERVIEW [PERSONALITY TEST] There are 25 optional subjects have to chosen for PRE exam. CSAT- exam- pattern- The educational qualification required for apply in this examination is just a graduation in any stream from a recognized college. There is not any kind of minimum percentage requirement in academic carrier for appear in this examination .Final year graduation students are eligible. The age limit for this examination is 21-30 years,...There are 3 & 5 years of the age limit relaxation are applicable for the OBC & SC\ST candidates respectively. For apply IAS exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam. Eligibility criteria:- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.
