1.Any Graduate from the recognized University can write SSC-CGL on line exam.

2.As per SSC notification candidates are to apply through on line, notification apppears in the Month of Jan/Feb every year.

3.AGE:

General: 18-27 years, relaxations are there OBC: 3 years, S/C S/T: 5 years. PWD: 10 years.

4.Nationality: Indian.

Exam:

Pattern multiple choice

Subjects:

1.English (comprehension)
2.General Awareness
3.General Intelligence,Reasonings.
4.Mathe matics.

Duration of exam:

2 hours.

Income tax officer deals with the income tax related matters of the CBDT. Income tax is one of the important source of revenue for the government therefore income tax officers shoulders a lots of responsibilities to ensure that the ones who are yet to pay the income tax are sent notice from the department on time.

Eligibility Criteria:-

## You need to be a citizen of India.

## You need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.

## Your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 27 years.

## The upper age limit is relaxed for the following categories:-

~SC/ST Candidates: 5 yrs.
~OBC Candidates: 3 yrs.
~PWD Candidates: 10 yrs.

## Following are the stages or hurdles you have to go through:-

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• Personality Test

## Subject Areas of Prelim Exam:-

1. General Intelligence and General Awareness- 100 marks (2 hours)
2. Arithmetic- 100 marks (2 hours)

## Subject Areas of Main Exam:-

1. General Studies- 200 marks (3 hours)
2. English- 100 marks (2 hours 20 mins)
3. Arithmetic- 200 marks (4 hours)

## An income tax officers gets the pay scale of Rs. 6500-Rs. 10,500.
