Re: What is the eligibility for Indian Police Service Exam?
What type of experience are you talking about? There is no prior experience required to appear for the Indian Police Service entrance exam. Therefore you don't need to worry about any such thing.
The IPS entrance exam is conducted under Civil Service Examination by the Union Public Service Commission. While the IPS officers are selected by the central government, they work under the state governments. The role of IPS offcer includes VIP security, anti terror operations, maintaining law and order etc. To appear for the Civil Service Examination you must meet the following criteria that I am pointing out below:- Eligibility Criteria 1. Only candidates of Indian nationality can apply for IPS. 2. It is mandatory to have graduation degree to apply. 3. There is no percentage criteria in graduation course. Age Limit 1. Anyone above 21 years and below 30 years can apply. 2. You will get 3 years relaxation in upper age limit if belongs to OBC. 3. As per govt rules 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |
