If you want to become an IPS officer than you have toappear in the UPSC Civil services Exams

This exam is held for 24 posts and these are IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc

You cannot give this exams just after passing class 12th, for this you have to complete your Graduation first


Educatiional qualifications required is:
Graduation pass in any stream
No minimum marks required in graduation

Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum -30 years for all the General category candidates
Maximum 33 years for the OBC candidates
Maximum 35 years for the SC/ST candidates

Attempts-
General candidates- 4
OBC candidates -7
SC/ST candidates- No such restrictions

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. It is one of the top civil service in India being opted by many of the candidates.

To join IPS, here is the selection procedure that you need to crack

-You should have completed your Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course can also apply for this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview

The required age criteria will be
21-30 years for General category
21-33 years for OBC category
21-35 years for SC or ST category.

The nationality of the candidate should be India.

The complete selection procedure would involve
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

For this academic year, the notification for civil services exam has not been released yet.

We can expect the notification to be released in the first week of March and the written exam will be conducted in the month of May.

Meanwhile, you can have good preparation for the Exam and apply for it once the notification is released.

The Indian Police Service is an All India Service for police.
The IPS civil service notification will be released from 19 february 2019.
The application forms will be available online on www.upsconline.nic.in
The exam would be conducted in two parts one is pre and other is mains.
After that interview would be conducted.
Eligibility criteria:-
You should be a citizen of India.
You must have attained the age of 21 years but not more than 32 years. However, the age relaxation would be provided for OBC, SC/St candiadtes of 3 and 5 years respectively.
You should have a valid graduate degree.
