Girls cannot apply for NDA after 12th.
The only way for girls to join INDIAN AIR FORCE is to apply for CDS after completing graduation with maths and physics for INDIAN AIR FORCE.

For applying for CDS you should have completed your graduation.

Your age should be between 19 - 21 yrs.

You should have completed your graduation with maths and physics.

You should have passed 12th Class (10+2) system of education or its equivalent with Physics and Maths for the airforce and navy.

You should be unmarried.

Hi friend,

Girls are not eligible for the Indian Air force. Only boys are eligible for this exam.

To join the Indian Air force first you can apply for the NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.

ELIGIBILITY:

The applicant should be indian.

The applicant should pass the 12th standard from any recognized state board.

No percentage required for this exam.

PCM subjects compulsory for the Indian Air force.

The candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

No age relaxation for other categories.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Female candidates are not eligible for this exam.

Candidate should be physically and medically fit for this exam.

Selection Process:

Written Test
Medical Test
Interview

The only way for the girls to enter in to the defense is through the Combined defense services examinations as girls are not allowed to appear for the NDA/NA examinations.

CDS gives you chance to join any one of the given academies like:

1.Indian Military academy

2.Indian Air force academy

3.Officer's Training academy

4.Indian Naval academy.

In order to give CDS examinations ,you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.Final year graduation candidates can also apply for the examinations

For air force academy,you must have taken mathematics and physics at 10+2 level:

The minimum age required to be eligible for CDS exam is 19 years.The upper age limit depends upon which academy you want to join:

1.IAF:19-23 years

2.IMA:19-24 years

3.INA:19-22 years

4.OTA:19-25 years

You must be an Indian Citizen and you should be physically fit .

Examination pattern for CDS exam:

The online application for the CDS 2 2013 will start from 25/5/2013.You can apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in

There are 2 ways by which you can join the Indian Air Force :-

>> AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)
>> CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam

For getting into the Flying Branch through the AFCAT Examination..you must satisfy the following minimum conditions :-

>> Age of the applicant must be within 19-23 years..

>> must have completed bachelor's degree or B.E/B.Tech in any stream from a recognized institution with an aggregate of 60%

Physical Requirements :-

> Minimum height requirement for all the candidates is 162.5 cm with a proportionate weight..

> Sitting height of the candidate must be within 81.5-96 cm

Combined Defence Services(CDS)

The CDS Exam is conducted in February and September by the UPSC..

In order to join Indian Air force there are two types of entries:

NDA exam after 12th Standard

CDS Exam after completing Graduation

Women are not eligible to apply for NDA exam so the candidates need to apply for the CDS exam.

The exam is conducted by UPSC and I suggest you to go through the notification in detail to apply for the post.

They are also not allwed to apply for the Airforce wing of the CDS exams

But women can apply for the Flying wing of the Airforce through the AFCAT exams.
AFCAT exams are conducted by Indian airforce each year

Eligibilty to apply for AFCAT exams is:
Education- Graduates in any stream with Minimum 60% marks and should have studied the subjects Physics and Maths in class 12th
or BE/BTECH Pass with minimum 60% marks

Age- Between 19 to 23 years

Minimum Height- 162.5 cms
Minimum Leg Length - 99 cms
Maximum Leg Length - 120 cms

Nice to hear that being a woman you want to join the Indian Air Force.

There are two ways out through which you can achieve this.

The Eligibility Criteria for both the exams are slight different from each other.

Eligibility Criteria For AFCAT :

-For some posts in AFCAT for which Post Graduation is required have age limit upto 19 to 27 years

Dear Aspirant,

There are few post for the women in the AFCAT

They are:

Flying

Technical

So for the these both post there is an certain age limit for the women or men.

So here are the age limits for the following post.

Flying Branch- 19 to 23 as on Jan 2014

Technical Branch- 18 to 28 as on Jan 2014

So there will be these age cutoff if you are more than these ages then am sorry to say that you are not eligible for the above posts.

And For the Technical field only technical people with graduation of mechanical or electronics are allowed.

Rest all streams are not eligible for the Technical Branch.

Sorry, Girls Can not apply for NDA Examination

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy. This Examination is conducted by UPSC held twice a year, Generally in the month of April and September

The course of training is for three years. 1.Indian Air Force 2.Indian Army, 3.Indian Navy

Age Limit between for 16.5 to 19 yrs.

No Age Relaxation facility will given for this entrance test.

Only boys can apply for the exam.

I'm a girl.I have just complete my master of computer application(MCA) in june 2014 with 8.76 CGPA. And in 10 2 i have stream science with maths and physics with 57%. Is imw eligible to give next AFCAT or CDS?
