Re: What is the graduation needed to become an IAS officer?
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is not so easy to make entry into IAS. But nothing is impossible.
Only thing that is required from your side is, you have to put your best efforts towards cracking the selection procedure. I have seen number of candidates who are preparing for civil services exam for years and years and did not get success to make entry into IAS. Keep this in mind and start your preparation for IAS Exam. There is no separate exam called IAS Exam for the candidates to make entry into IAS. But one should have to crack civil services exam which is the common written exam for the candidates to make entry into various civil services like IAS IPS IRS etc. In order to be eligible for this exam, one should have to complete Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. So, it is not so important of the stream that you have in your Graduation but the thing that is important is whether you have completed graduation successfully or not. In addition, check whether you possess the required age criteria to take this exam or not. Here it is, -A candidate of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to take this exam. -Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. If you are eligible or possess the above mentioned criteria, then have good preparation for this exam and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
