No specific percentage is required for CDS. Graduation is enough to apply for the exam. Science graduates are eligible to join all the three wings of defense. Others can apply for technical position in Army. Age requirements may vary slightly with different wings of defense.

Indian Military Academy
Air Force Academy
Naval Academy

Educational Qualification:-

IMA & OTA- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

Naval Academy- B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering .

Air Force Academy- B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering .

### Not require any percentage marks in graduation degree.

there is no minimum percentage required to apply for the CDS Exam.

The Requirements that you have to consider for CDS Exam are :

a) You must have completed graduation in any stream from any UGC recognized university.

b) You must have Mathematics as one of your subjects in 10+2 or graduation.

c) Candidates in final year of graduation can also apply.

d) Your age should lie in between 18-24 years.

e) Nationality : Indian

The Pattern Of the CDS Exam :



The CDS Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in February and December as CDS-I & CDS-II respectively.

CDS Exam Details:-

Union Public Service Commission conducts the Combined Defense Service Examination twice a year. By giving this exam following academies can be entered: Army, Navy and Air Force. The eligibility criteria for entering different academy is different.

Educational Qualification:-

Indian Military Academy:- You need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Air Force Academy:- You need to get a B.Sc degree with physics or mathematics or a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology.

Examination Pattern:-

For IMA, AFA and NA: There are three papers under the written exam of these three academies. For each paper 2 hours have been allotted and 120 questions will be asked from each paper. 100 marks have been allotted to each paper as well. Follow closely the three sections mentioned below:

• English
• General Knowledge
• Elementary Mathematics

For OTA: Two papers are there to solve in the written exam of this academy. Two hours have been allotted for each paper and here as well 120 questions will be asked from each paper. Total marks allotted is 200. Areas of weightage:

• English
• General Knowledge

Combined defence service examination is conducted twice in a year by the UPSC. This examination is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Army, Air force and Navy. The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination is given below:

No Minimum marks required to apply for CDS Entrance Examination. Only Pass mark is enough to apply for CDS Entrance Examination.
