Question Pattern of AIEEE

The AIEEE Examination at present includes two papers.

Paper 1 is for candidates of BE/B.Tech and
Paper 2 is for candidates of B.Arch/ B. Planning course.
BE/B.Tech AIEEE examination will be carried out for a time of 3 hours. The exam has objective type questions from Class XI and XII PCM subjects.

Equal marks are allotted to every part of the subjects. Every question has four choices. Students have to select the correct option amongst the available. There is a minus marking 25% for each incorrect answer.

As for the B.Arch/B. Planning exam the time allotted will also be of 3 hours. It will have three different parts which include Math’s, Aptitude test and Drawing test. This exam is intended to assess the aptitude, skills, ingenuity, responsiveness and observation of the candidates.

The AIEEE paper are divided into 2 parts, paper I and Paper II.

Paper 1 -

Questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics - Objective Type Questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Paper 2 -

Mathematics - Part I (Objective Type Questions)

Aptitude Test - Part II (Objective Type Questions)

AIEEE exam Pattern:




The entrance test consists of two papers:

• First paper consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for BE and BTech courses.
• Second paper includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing for Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning academic programs.

Paper Subject Marks Duration

Paper-I Physic,Chemistry and Maths 360 Marks 3 Hours
Paper-II Maths,Aptitude test-I and 340 Marks 3 Hours
Drawing-II

Eligibility criteria for AIEEE exam:
Qualifying examination

• 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University with a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Those appearing in 10+2 final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission.

Note: Only Indian students are eligible for AIEEE.
Age limit: 16-24.

PATTERN FOR AIEEE EXAM

AIEEE is of 2 different papers as follows....


-> Paper 1 : Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics ( For B.E / B.Tech degree)

-> Paper 2 :Mathematics, Aptitude Test-Part1, Aptitude Test-Part2 ( Drawing ) - For B.Arch/ B. Planning Degree


-> In paper 1 questions will be from physics, chemistry and Maths which you studied in your 11th & 12th std.. So if you are good with the basics then for sure you can attend all the questions...

-> I have attached the syllabus followed for AIEEE exam in this post.. just go through the topics given and prepare for the all the topics given to answer all the questions..

-> I have attached the previous year patterns followed by AIEEE and the eligibility criteria in this post.. The pattern might be same for the next year too..

-> As you know AIEEE as 1/4th of negative marking, so attend only the questions which you are sure of the solutions...

AIEEE is an Entrance exam conducted by government of india.

AIEEE Pattern

This entrance examination would consist of two papers
1) 1st paper :
consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage with objective type questions for B.E/B.Tech courses

2) 2nd paper :
consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing for B. Architecture and B. Planning.
The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.


Subject Combination in Qualifying Examinations

B.E./B.Tech.

1.Compulsory Subjects:Physics & Mathematics

2.Any One of the Optional Subjects:Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology


B. Arch./B. Planning

1.Compulsory Subjects: Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level.

AIEEE exam conducted one paper for the exam.

AIEEE exam pattern

All India Engineering entrance examination is conducted every year for
the admission in various engineering colleges for the engineering course.
This examination is conducted at the all India level.

To apply for this examination a candidate should be 10+2 pass and should
have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2.
Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.

i want to do btech in biotechnology field so which papers i will have to give in AIEEE?. ...maths and physics are copulsary subjects ,so is there a choice in chemistry n biology.?

Dear pal,
AIEEE is conducted every year and the question paper is set in such a way that all the students are able to answer especially rural aspirants. The exam involves questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics each having their own waitage.
AIEEE consist of two papers
paper 1
paper one consist of questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each questions have the same weightage . For each wrong answer one- fourth of the marks will be reduced
paper 2
the paper consists of questions from mathematics, drawing and aptitude.
The duration of the exam is three hours.
Each question carries three marks and negative marks for all the questions.
The syllabus for the exam is based on the cbse board and also on the syllabus of certain state board.

AIEEE exam have 3 papers
i.e.
1 physics
2 chemistry
3 maths

number of question will be around 90 total.

Question Type:- In AIEEE question comes from your 11th and 12th basic knowledge.
