IB (Intelligence Bureau) conducts entrance exam to recruit the candidates.

The physical requirements to get into IB is listed below:

- The candidates age should be less than 27 years. This may vary based on the post.
- The height should be 165 Cms. There is 5 Cms relaxation for the SC/ ST, Tribals, Gorkhas and Assamese.
- The weight should be proportional to height.
- The chest should be 81 Cms. There is relaxation based on the post.
- The physical efficiency for male while walking should be 1.6kms in 15 mins, while cycling 8kms in 30mins.
- The physical efficiency for female while walking 1km in 15 mins, while cycling 5kms in 30 mins.
- The eye sight in distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9.

Based on the state & post this requirements may vary.
