sir, ma name s irshad and i wanna ask u somthn abt merchant navy....sir i hv been completed diploma in mechanical engineering and nw m doing engineering (BE)...studyn in 3rd year....sir nw m 24 years old...and when i complt ma engineering ill b 25 years old.....ma birth date is 21-7-1988....so plz tell me dat can i join merchant navy after complition of ma engineering.......if yes then what can i hv to do...?to join..... plz reply.....

Physical requirements for Merchant navy as follows:

You should be physically and mentally fit.
Eye Sight = 6/6,
Height = 167 cms,
Weight = 50 Kg
Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

Eligibility to join Merchant Navy is given below:-
-Unmarried male
-Belong to age group of 19-23 years
-Should of Indian
-Should have completed his graduation from a recognized university (with Physics, Mathematics, at 10+2)
