Selection of candidates to IAS is done on the basis of written test and interview conducted by UPSC. Graduates below 30 years can apply. To participate in the selection process, you need to send applications through the web portal of UPSC. Applications can be submitted online. Upon submission, candidates will be intimated through mail or post.

The name of the exams through which you can apply for the IAS post is UPSC Civil Services Exams.
This exam is held in three stages: Prelims Mains Interviews Next UPSC Prelims Exams will be held on 19th MAY 2013 You can apply for the Prelims Exams online through the website http://upsconline.nic.in/ Eligibilty to apply for this exams is: Education: Graduation pass in any Stream Age: Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Chances: General candidates- 4 times OBC- 7 times SC/ST- No such restriction |
