IAS Exam Details !!! To become an IAS Officer One Needs to crack Civil Service Exam. So lets see the Eligibility criteria in Details. Educational Qualification:- Must hold a degree of any Discipline from any Recognized University. Age Limits:- Must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2010, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.(This is For IAS 2011 & For Next year Exam it will be different ) Attempts:- For General Category :- only 4 times. For SC/ST:- Any Time under the Above age Limits. For OBC:- Only 7 times. For Filling up of Application Form for IAS OR Civil service Exam you need to Visit www.upsconline.nic.in If you want to buy Offline Forms then Visit any GPO's of your City buy upsc form, Fill it and Send it to Upsc board as specified in that Broucher. Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
Minimum graduation degree in any stream Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category,21 to 33 years for OBC category,21 to till the end for SC/ST category. For this year you will be late,but you can appear next year.
IAS exam is conducted by UPSC annualy. It conducts in 3 steps:- 1.Prelim.exam 2.Main 3.Interview Eligiblity criteria:- 21 TO 30 year graduate from a government university. I am here attaching some file in which you can see the prelim.syllabus,bronchure and sample paper. |

To apply for ias you must first write UPSC exam. You can apply for that exam through online in the following website. Other wise you can apply in offline by collecting the application forms in head post office. www.upsconline.nic.in |

At the Interview stage they must then produce a certificate from a competent authority that they have completed (including internship) all the requirements for the award of the MedicalDegree. Age Limit: i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. ii. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: a. Upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. b. Upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. c. Upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu &Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989. d. Upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services. e. Upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs. If you are satisfying the above criteria then you are eligible. |

To apply for the Civil Service Exam, you will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria. You must be a graduate You must be within the age limit of 21-30 years. For SC/ST, age limit is 21-35 years, and for OBC's its 21-33 years. Now, to apply for the exam, you can obtain the application form your designated post office/Head post office, available after the notification. You may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in. The online application form will be also available after the notification published by UPSC. |

In order to apply for the IAS exam , you need to have the following eligibilities:- --> The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. --> Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-35 years for the SC/ST , 21-33 years for the OBC. --> General categories get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited , OBC get 7 attempts top clear the exam. You need to complete your graduation degree in regular stream as a strict eligibility part. UPSC comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. For eligibility part, aspirant’s age limit should be between 19 to 40 years. Relaxation is also given for SC/ST candidates of 2 years as per the government norms. Also candidate should be Indian and must possess a graduation degree.
