What should I do after 10th to become a Train Driver?
Dear sir, I want to become a Train Driver. I am very interested in driving train. I just pass a 10th class,i didn't understand what to do.
Please tell me. What should I do? |

For recruitment as Train driver (Assistant Loco Pilot ) in Indian Railway candidates have to appear and qualify in entrance examination conducted by RRB.
The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed diploma/ITI in electrical, mechanical, diesel engine to appear for entrance examination. The age limit to appear for examination is 18-30 years. So, you have to pursue diploma course or ITI degree after ITIto appear for entrance examination Candidates who have passed 12th with . If you want to be a train driver then you have to do ITI course in specific trades after completion of your matriculation. Only after that you will be eligible for RRB exam for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post. Once you qualify in this exam they will send you for the training. Thanks

To become a Train Driver after completion of your 10th standard from a Government recognized board, you have to pursue your higher studies in ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering course from a Government recognized institution.You need to apply for Loco Pilot examination conducted by RRB to be eligible to participate in recruitment process to become a Train Driver.

You can pursue plus 10+2 with PCM stream or a diploma in engineering qualification, if you are looking for train driver or loco pilot job in Indian Railways.
Selection will be based on the performance in written exam and interview conducted by Indian railways. |

To give the exam you need to be 10th pass out and should have completed your ITI in any trade from a recognised University in order to become loco pilot.
If you have a diploma degree in mechanical / automobile / electrical or electronics then also you can apply for this exam. Your age should be in between 18 to 30 years. However there is relaxation for the SC / St / OBC candidates. This exam is conducted by railway recruitment. |

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for loco pilot post is 10th class and apart from this you need to complete ITI in any specific trade to apply for this post.
Minimum age limit required for this post is 18 years and maximum should not exceed 30 years where as relaxation for categories like SC / st and OBC are given in upper age limit Those who have completed diploma in Engineering are also eligible for this post. You have to appear in the entrance test that is conducted by Railway Recruitment Board every year in order to recruit to this post. |

Candidate should pass Intermediate from recognized college. Candidate should have a degree of ITI from recognized institute. Age limit should be 18 years to 28 years. Candidate shiuld be an Indian citizen. |

After 10th, you can pursue diploma course in any of the following streams like mechanical/automobile/electrical or electronics.
After completing this course, you can apply for locopilot vacancies released by RRB or Indian railways. Note that, your age must be between 18-30 years. Reservation will be provided to reserved category candidates. Selection process is based on Written Exam and Personal Interview. |
