I'm studying in 11th science.I want to be a doctor in army. so i would like to know what will i have to do? also guide, how to crack the NDA exams held for 10+2.

Dear Friend

To become a doctor in Army you will have to do Graduate level course in Medical Science
i.e., MBBS. Once you complete the MBBS(or equivalent) degree then only you can join
Indian Army as a doctor. The joining of doctors is done in Army Medical Corps.
This recruitment in Army Medical Corps is done through SSC examination.

NDA
If you want to join defence service as an officer after completion of 12th then
you can apply for NDA examination.

The Scheme of written test of NDA examination is as under
There will be two papers.
1. Mathematics (300 marks)
2. General Ability Test (600 marks)

Those who qualify written test, are called for SSB interview.
All the questions in written test will be objective type.

The first paper contains 12th level Mathematics and the second paper includes
questions from English, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Civics, Geography,
Current Events etc.

To prepare for the exam you should complete the PCM of 12th very well. Then you should
prepare Arts subjects from high school books for the topics given in the syllabus.
For Current Events, you can refer some Mgazine like Pratiyogita Darpan and some
newspaper daily.
To get an idea about the questions of this exam you can refer previous year question papers.

hi friend.
for army doctor carrier you have to fight afmc exam but only 35 seat are there in all india level base
for nda mathematics also compulsory beside this g.k and reasoning must be good
the age limit for nda 18 year and after that you are not allow for fight nda
exam
also ima is there for becoming army officer

HI,
You can join Indian Army as a doctor. For this you have to qualify A.F.M.C exam.

A.F.M.C stand for Armed Force Medical College. It is among the top medical college in India.

Eligibility for A.F.M.C exam:-
> QUALIFICATION:- Pass 12th with minimum 60% marks. And in frist
attempts of Board exam.
Minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology and English.

AGE LIMIT:- If you apply after passing 12th:- 17-12 year
If you apply after graduation:- 17-24 year.

To be a Doctor in army , you have to get admitted to AFMC, by AFMC entrance exam.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC.

NDA exam is conducted twice in every year.
eligibility criteria is,
Physical strands is :-
Height - 165cm or above
Weight - 50kg or less
Chest width - 77-82cm
No eye and hearing defects.

To become a Doctor in AFMC you need to qualify the medical entrance examination and after that you will be called for SSB by AFMC, Pune.

The performance in the Medical entrance and SSB interview will decide the merit for admission into AFMC, Pune.

If you succeed then you will complete your MBBS from AFMC and according to the bond you have to serve in the Indian Army as an doctor for a fixed period of time.

There is other way also to join Indian Army as doctor and that is through Short Service Commission.

Those who have completed MBBS and want to serve for Indian Army can apply for this Short Service Commission. The application will be shortlisted and candidates will be called for SSB . Those who perform very well will be selected for the post.

Also Medical fitness should be upto the marks and if you are not fit then you will not be allowed to join Indian Army.

For NDA exam one has to be 12th pass and age should be between 16.5 to 19 years. Only unmarried male can apply.

The selection is based on the written exam , SSB and medical exam.

if you are a science student with physics, chemistry and biology as main subjects.. you can apply for medicine.


to be a military doctor, you have to write the test for it.
AFMC( armed forces medical college)
this is now placed under NEET medical entrance..
there are 125 seats all together, 25 seats for girls.

for NDA exam, girls are not eligible..
the eligibility is:
* age criteria - 16.5 to 19 years.
* unmarried male candidates.
* 12th pass candidate or 12th appearing candidates can apply..
* you will get in Indian army

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year.

NDA has three wings:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air force

Eligibility:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Candidate should complete the 12th standard from recognised state board.

No percentage required for this exam.

PCM subjects are required for the Indian Navy and Air force.

Candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

No upper age relaxation applicable for other categories.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam. Female candidates are not eligible.
