what should i do for joining navy after completion of my b.tech?
i am interested but unaware of the procedure.

Since you are a B.TECH so you are a graduate now.You can join Indian Navy But you have to sit for an examination which is NDA.Here minimum 12th standard passout students can apply for it.

Here is the Criteria details for NDA :

a)The candidate must pass 12th standard examination with any discipline.
b)Age must be within 18 to 24 years.
c)Your eyesight must be 6/6.

If you are interested in this NDA examination you must fulfill the above criterias.

After completion of B.tech you want to go for NAVY..

Then you have to crack the exams like- CDS, UES..

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

For NAVY :-

1.One must have complete the graduation in engineering field from a recognized university.

2.One should not have any pending backlogs during graduation.

3.The age should be in between 19-22 years..

UES(University entry scheme):-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering with 60% aggregate.

2.The age should be in between 18-28 years..

So, you can go for any of them..
After qualifying in any of these exam you have to go through the SSB interview.
If you able to crack the SSB interview, then you will get a chance to join in NAVY..

Indian Navy is one of the renowned as well as a respected jobs of the Government of India.

There are two chances every year for you. Generally, examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December every year.


They recruit through a entrance exam named Short Service Commission(SSC).

Eligibility Criteria :-

Nationality : Indian.

Marital Status : Unmarried.

Educational Qualifications :

i)You should pass the 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate and optional as Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science.

ii)You should pass B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks.
or
iii)You should pass BE or B.Tech with minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any discipline from any institution recognized by AICTE.
or
iv)You should have M. Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 55% marks.

Age Limits :19.5 to 25 years as the examination time.

Physical Standards:-

Height: Minimum 157 cm

Eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9

Color perception: CP II

The eligible candidates will be called up for Service Selection Board (SSB) based on their educational intelligence in graduation.

Exam Procedure :
The eligible candidates are called for the written examination of objective-type of 75 minutes which includes:

i)General Science

ii)Mathematics

iii)General Knowledge

iv)General English

Through CDSE Naval Academy, Goa

Qualifications :

B.Sc with Physics and Maths or BE

Age: 19-22 years.

Through Direct Entry Naval Armament Inspection Cadre

Qualifications: BE or PG degree in Electronics or Physics.

Age: 19-25 years

2. Short Service Commission (Men and Women)

Through Law Cadre:

Qualifications: Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks.

Age: 22-27 years.

In order to join the Indian Navy you can apply for the Combined Defense Services exam

In order to appear for the exam..u need to fulfill the following conditions:-

1) You should be a graduate degree holder or in the final year
2) You should be in the age limit of 19-23 years

The paper will be objective with 3 sections which will test your current affairs,general knowledge and basic maths

To enter Navy, you have write an eligibility exam for NDA.

16 ½ to 19 years At the time of commencement of training.

Nationality
Indian

Gender
This is applicable only to men.

Educational Qualifications
You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students can also apply.


For Navy:-
The candidate must have complete the 12th with physics , chemistry , mathematics with 60% marks.
