Re: How to apply for IAS exam? What are the steps to be followed?
The civil service examination is conducted for the post of officers in IAS, IPS, etc by UPSC. The application forms can be obtained from designated post offices. The application forms should be dully filled and sent to the secretary of UPSC. The exam has three stages. The first one is CSAT followed by mains and interview. The CSAT exam is an objective type test consisting of two papers. In mains you have to select two optional subjects. If you clear both these test you will be called for interview. It is highly competitive exam and requires good preparation. You can join coaching classes which will help you in preparation.

Re: How to apply for IAS exam? What are the steps to be followed?
Dear..
It is a good decision of yours to get into Civil services as they are the most sought for job in India and every year lac of students apply for this exam and few of them get a chance to be a IAS or IPS officer in India. The whole process to be followed is as follows :- First of all you have to make sure that you are eligible for the course and after that we will talk about the other steps to be taken :- Eligibility :-0 1. All graduate are eligible 2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university 3. Only Indian citizen are eligible 4. Age limit is 20-30 years 5. Graduation subject does not matter at all 6. relaxation to those who belong to SC, ST and OBC 7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory. 8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS. Once you are eligible then you have to wait for the notification and once it is out then apply for it by filling up a form. Choose the subject which you think you can do in a better way. Then the preparation comes. you should either prepare at home or to some good coaching institute but remember a self study is a must as the exam is very tough to clear. After that Exam is conducted in 3 stages. IAS Preliminary IAS Mains IAS Interview Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |
