There is no upper age limit for applying for the post of lecturer in government colleges or universities. You should complete your post graduation qualification to become a lecturer in a government college or universities. You should attend the NET exam as part of the selection criteria. This exam is conducted by UGC. Based on the score that you secure in the NET exam, you can apply for lecturer post in any government colleges.

i am 33 years can i still apply for lectureship ?

i am post graduate(67%) and qualified NET in the same subject but i do not have concerned subject at my graduation level.
Am i eligible for the post of lecturer in the subject at my PG level? or is the concerned subject is must at the graduation level?

There is no upper age limit for becoming a lecturer in Indian universities.All you need is to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

The very first requirement is that you must done your post graduation in any stream from a recognised university with minimum of 55% marks in it.

After this you have to clear the NET examinations for becoming a lecturer.

Dear Mr Suman, there is no upper age limit for Lectureship but certainly for JRF it is as 28 Year and so is the retirement age fixed for Asst Prof as 60 to 62 or even 65 years in some universities.
