IPS stands for Indian Police Service

It's One of the Civil Service Examination and which is conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) . To apply for this Examination you should Complete Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized University .

Eligibility Criteria required for this Examination :-

The Aspirant should Complete Three years Under graduation Course in any discipline from recognized University / Institution . Final Year candidate of Bachelor degree may also eligible to apply for this Examination . There is no Minimum Percentage of marks require for this Examination .

Note :- The Final Years candidate have submit the Course Completion Certificate from the Institution Before Appearing IPS Examination .

Number of Attempts :-

If your belong from General candidate then you may eligible to apply for Attempt Examination Four times and relaxation will applicable for obc candidates for 7 Times and there is no limit for sc/st candidates .

The Aspirant age should be in between 21 years to 30 years and Upper age relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates and obc candidates .

~~ For sc/st candidates :- 5 Years
~~ For obc candidates :- 3 years


Physical Standards for IPS Examination :-




If your satisfy this eligibility Criteria then your eligible to apply for IPS Examination .

The Important Notification are published in Employment news papers and Official website of UPSC . You may apply for this Examination in Online Mode by Visiting the Official website of UPSC . The Cost of Examination Application form Rs.100/- for General and obc candidates and Free for sc/st candidates .

The various requirements for IPS entrance test are:-

AGE:Candidate must be between 21-30yrs for general and extensible upto 3yrs for OBC and 5yrs for SC/ST.

EDUCATION:candidate has to acquire any bachelors degree from any recognised institute.

PHYSICAL:

Height – Male 165 cm ,Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm ,Pahari Female *(general also) & ST(not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/ 12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No nherent night blindness. Vision should inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124 age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

ATTEMPTS:
4 for general
7 for OBC
unlimited for SC/ST

To become a Indian Police Service Officer,you should apply for civil service exam.This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once.Civil service exam consist of Preliminary exam, Main exam and final interview.

To appear for this exam,you should have completed minimum graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university and your age should be between 21 to 30 years(Other caste),21 to 33 years(OBC caste),21 to 35 years(SC/ST caste).And your height should be minimum 165cm(Male),minimum 150cm(female),chest expansion should minimum 84cm(Male),79cm(Female).

YES, you are eligible to apply for the UPSC Civil services exams.
For IPS you have to appear this exams
