when the gate exams are conducted? Could u please tell me the date of the exam

hi..the gate exam is generally held in the second sunday of the february month and the notification is aout by the end of the sepetember month ,the elegibility for the gate exam is graduation in any of the engineering field from an recognized university and there is no limit on number of attempts for the exam,even those in the final and pre-final year of there engineering are elegible for the examination .
from 2010 gate exam there is even aptitude part included in the exam which is of 15 marks and the entire gate paper is for 100 marks and out which even 15 marks is alloted for mathematics also.so there is only 70 marks for the core subject in which you are attemting the exam ,it is an exam of three hours duration and there is also an negetive marking in the exam ,its the only wat to do mtech from the premier institutes like the iits and to get admission into iits you should get an rank below 200 in any field if you are an general category student ,

but normally it is on the second sunday of february.

see, generally every year gate exam is conducted in the middle week of February.

and the date is chosen near by Sunday.

in the gate 2011 conducted in the 13th February. and GATE organizer was IIT-Madras.

GATE Exam is oragnised for M.TECH. this is the popular exam.
generally this exam is conducted in the month of february.
from the record of last years it is clear that this exam is done in mid of february.
and the application form can fill in september.
so, just wait for the application form and carry on your preparation.
