Re: Will backlogs affect my job opportunities?
Hello dear,
Backlogs affect your career a bit, it is true. But here somethings are worth mentioning. Does your backlog mean failing in one subject in certain semester, then this means that you have the chance of clearing that subject without year loss. So this means there is backlog but no year loss. Is your case falling under this case? There is a second case also where some institutes do not allow continuing with the next semester, if there is a failure even in one subject. So there is a cease of year loss. So you have backlog and year loss together. In this case most companies are tolerant to 1 or at most 2 year losses. Above than that is not acceptable in almost all big companies. So now you have to verify which one is your case. But even if you have the second case I will ask you to go for smaller organizations rather than bigger organizations. There backlogs would not be much of an issue and on top of that you will gather some working experience. So go ahead for your final year campus placements but give priorities to small companies more and sit for their interviews at the very beginning to secure a job position. |

Re: Will backlogs affect my job opportunities?
Hai friend
Don't worry,if you are having baklogs till third year because you have the chance to clear them till at the end of your final year. Then there will not be much impact on your job opportunities. But even if you are having at the end of the final year while you are appearing for the placements or searching for a jobs, then there will be effect on you and most of the companies recruit the candidates who had no backlogs and had above 60% in their graduation from a recognised university. So,if you are in third year or final year, try to clear all your backlogs as soon as possible then you can have some better job opportuniies. All The Best |

Re: Will backlogs affect my job opportunities?
Sir, I passed my Class 12th exam in second attempt and I have a total of 8 backlogs in my B.E. degree, I was about to pass in the JUNE 2013, but unfortunately I will clear my backlog of 8th sem in DEC 2013. I want to ask that what are the career options left for me in this condition, I will be appearing for GATE for joining any of the PSUs, but I found that I am not eligible in most of the PSUs inspite of having 67% aggregate in my degree at present. Sir, what should I do now, I am totally depressed, is there any way left for me for the growth of my career, I have a bad academic record, coz I'm not so good at studies that's why.. Plz help me sir, I totally confused n desponded.

Re: Will backlogs affect my job opportunities?
Having backlogs in the academic course will always be a trobule to the candidates.
But coming to your profile, You have successfully completed all your 4 backlogs and now you have an aggregate of 72% of marks in your B.Tech course so far. In this case, you will not face any problems at all in order to appear for the campus placements. But the thing that I suggest you is that don't make any backlogs in your final year. You may have to face severe consequences due to this. Here is the eligibility criteria that you should possess to apply for the selection procedure of campus placements. You should be a career 60 candidate having scored a minimum of 60% of marks in all your academic levels. You should not have any pending backlogs. Your academic gap should not be more than 2 years. The selection procedure would involve Written Exam Group Discussion Technical Interview HR Interview Have good preparation for the selection procedure and crack it. Wish you all the best. |

I hav given my last sem exams..but i hav a backlog to be cleared from 2nd year subjects.. May i know whether that exam result comes after my 4.2 results.. Does it appear in my final memo.. Or can i clear it before getting my final memo ?? I came tp know that jntu anyhow omits 2 subjects of least score.. If that is the case, how can i opt to omit this single subject which i hav been trying from 2.1 to get on with?? Please help me out..
