Re: Am I eligible for government job if I am 40 years old and widowed?
As your qualification is too low plus you have also crossed the maximum age limit, so at this stage you are not eligible to apply for government jobs. Generally the maximum age limit to apply for government jobs is 30 to 32 years. For OBC candidates the age is relaxed by 3 years and for SC/ST candidates it is relaxed by 5 years. However, widows can apply till the age of 35 years and SC/CT widows can apply till 40 years.
So, it seems very difficult to get a government job at this age and with such low qualification. |

I am sorry to say that for getting eligible for government exams you have to at least complete your 10th standard exam. Then after you have a chance of getting government job.
**So, in my opinion you have to take admission in 10th standard through any school or you can take admission in open universities such as NIOS board as per your choice to complete your Matric level exam. Then you can apply for government job. |
