Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) releases the notification to fill vacancies for the posts of Sub inspector.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidates age should be between 21-25 years.

* Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for ST candidates is applicable.

* Candidate should have passed bachelor's degree in Arts/ Commerce/ Science/ Law or engineering from any recognized university or institution.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

* Written exam.

* Physical test.

* Medical test.

To become a Police Sub inspector in Odisha or any of the states you need to the Civil Services exam being conducted by UPSC every year. The procedure to apply for this exam is, you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria needed. The eligibility guidelines for the exam are:

# The candidate appearing should have a citizenship in India.

# The candidate should have a age limit between 21-30 years for general category candidates. In the case of SC/ST category candidates they get 5 years extra and for OBC it is 3 years.

# The educational qualification needed for applying for the exam, is candidate should have completed a degree in any stream from a recognized university. Even final year exam appearing candidate can apply for the exam.

If you satisfy them all then you can apply for the IPS exam. The candidate can apply for the exam in 2 modes:

1. ONLINE
2. OFFLINE
