How can I join NDA without appearing entrance exam being a 12th PCM candidate?
Respected Sir,
I am filling up NDA application form but due to some problem I am not going to give my NDA exam. Now I am in 12th PCM. So, please tell me how I can join NDA in this case? |

Yes dear still you have a eligibility to apply for NDA with 12th standard. But mean while you must satisfy the Age criteria as well. For the details regarding the Eligibility Criteria you can look at the below information.
Eligibility Criteria for NDA examination : 1.You should complete the 12th with minimum percentage of marks from the recognized university. 2.Age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years. 3.Final year students of 12th also eligible to apply for NDA. 4.Only Un married Male candidates are eligible for NDA. Selection process : 1.Written Examination 2.SSB Interview You have to satisfy the Age limits at the time of SSB Interview. |

No, you cannot in NDA without appearing in NDA examination. To join in National Defence Academy (NDA), you must have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-
1. Nationality :- You must be a citizen of India. 2. Age Limit :- You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and must not have crossed the age of 19 years. 3. Educational Qualification :- --> For Army Wing :- You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board. --> For Air Force and Naval Wings :- You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board. 4. Martial Status :- You must be an Unmarried Male candidate 5. Physical Standards :- You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification. |

It may be good news for you that the defence minister has approved the proposal of the armed forces allowing those who are 19 and half year old to take the NDA examination conducted by the union public services commission.Earlier the limit was 19 years.And to join NDA a candidate must appear in the entrance exam conducted by UPSC,twice a year.
So if you satisfied this criteria then you can again appear in the entrance exam. |
