For your kind information IBPS is autonomous body which is responsible to conduct recruitment process in all public sector banks except SBI for various posts such as Specialist Officer, Probationary Officer, Clerks etc. so there should not be any confusion that IBPS conduct exam or recruitment process for any other banks except public sector banks which are the enterprise of govt. of India.

If you want to join banking sector then you must know that banking sector is the fastest growing sector in India among all other government departments so you can have a great future ahead if you just complete your preparation and qualify the recruitment process.

There are some advantages and disadvantages of both govt. and private sector banks jobs but as far as I am concerned I would like to suggest you to prepare for IBPS examination because once you get the job in any govt. sector bank then there will be no fear of loosing the job after sometime and you may have good promotions and achieve good posts in bank.

IBPS conduct its recruitment process every single year for above mentioned posts so you should visit at the official website of IBPS for more details about recruitment and apply for the exam when it launches and one more thing that you have to qualify written examination of both pre and mains stage then only you will be eligible for the job of clerk and qualify the interview after exam for the post of Officer in the bank.

Private sector banks are also offering very good jobs but there will be no surety of your job and after your 40 years of age you might loose your job that is why try to think and secure your future with a public sector govt. bank and start preparation for examination of IBPS in which you can have good job in any govt. bank.

Let me tell you that there is no difference between IBPS exam and other bank exams.
The difference is only of posts which you choose to apply for.
Syllabus is all same and difference is about its level of questions.
All bank exams have good scope.
You can apply for various posts like-
Clerk
PO
SO
Manager
Executive

There is no difference between exams conducted by IBPS and other banks like SBI to recruit the candidates. IBPS(Institute of Banking personnel selection) is an autonomous body which will conduct the written test and personal interview to recruit the candidates for all government sector banks including regional rural banks except SBI which has its own recruitment process. Both IBPS and SBI will recruit the candidates in below procedure:
-> preliminary exam
-> main exam and
-> personal interview or language proficiency test.
And SBI will conduct group discussion also for the candidates for PO post.
Preliminary exam is just qualifying exam and candidates will be selected based on marks obtained in main exam and personal interview or language proficiency test.
