For recruitment in Income tax department you can appear for Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC or for CGL examination conducted by SSC.

Candidates after qualifying for examination will become eligible for recruitment in Income tax department.

The Staff Service Commission (SSC) conducts an entrance exam annually for the recruitment of candidates in the Income Tax Department.

The candidate who is applying for the post of Income Tax Officer must appear for SSC exam.

The candidate must be 18 -27 years with relaxation in upper age for reserved category.

Candidates can prepare for the written exam by reading materials on topics. They can also go to coahing in centers nearby.

The exam is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission).

If you want to get the job in Income Tax Department then you will have to fulfill eligibility criteria of Income Tax Officer.

You should be complete your graduation in any stream from recognized university.

Age should be 18 - 25 years on the 1st July of the year of examination. The upper age relaxation for reserved category.
