Hi,
I am in 12th standard. I have opted PCM in my 12th. I am very keen to join the Indian Air Force. Please tell me which specialization should I opt in B.Tech to join the Indian Air Force? Can I join the Indian Air Force after completing B.Tech?

There is no specific specialization required to join Indian Air Force. So, if you have passed B.tech course you are eligible for recruitment in Air Force.

For recruitment in Air Force you have to appear and qualify in the CDS examination which is conducted twice every year. The required qualification is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in Mathematics or Physics or B.tech/B.E.

The age limit to appear for examination is 19-23 years. The examination is conducted in three stages and have to qualify in all the stages for final selection. To get details information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

You can join Indian Air Force after 10+2 also by apply for National Defence Academy examination. NDA examination is conducted by UPSC and has following eligibility criteria:

*Minimum qualification of 10+2 and for Air Force, PCM subjects are necessary for Air Force.

*Age limit for unmarried male candidate is 16.5-19.5 years.

You can apply for this exam at official website of UPSC, it is conducted two times every year. After Bachelor of technology also, you can apply for AFCAT exam and CDS exam to join Air Force.

You can select any stream in B.Tech to apply for these exams.
