What position will I get after becoming an IPS Officer through UPSC?
Hello friends, I am preparing for UPSC exams but I want to become an IPS Officer. So, I would like to know that what position will I get if I become an IPS Officer? Kindly tell me about this immediately.

The starting post after clearing UPSC civil services exam for IPS officer is Assistant Superintendent of Police. You need to complete the training before you are allotted any rank.
The training period is quite long for an IPS officer, compared to other cadre. Hence, you have to be physically and mentally prepared for this job. |
