To become an IPS officer, you need to crack UPSC civil services exam. Graduation is the minimum criteria to apply for the exam. Hence, you need to take admission in a degree course after class 12th.

You can prepare according to the syllabus through self study or coaching classes. Hence, make sure you choose the right way to prepare for it.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services and to become IPS Officer you have to complete your Graduate degree course first, Because graduation is the minimum Eligibility Criteria to apply for Civil services examination.

To apply for this examination you must have attained the age of 21 years and Not attained the age of 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.
